Janet K. BurnerClay, Pastels, Sculpture
I began my career in clay, drawing, and sculpture in 1970, opening my first shop, Sabino Stoneware Pottery, on Meyer Avenue in Barrio Viejo in 1972. I currently teach at "Romero House Potters" on the Tucson Museum of Art campus and have taught at that location "forever" (since 1972). In clay, my work is functional as well as sculptural. Figure drawing has always been of interest. I love the feel of clay as it is created by my hands into the vessel of my choosing. I prefer to sell my own work so as to meet and interact with the person who admires my expertise.

Shirley Dunn PerryWatercolor
My passion is to open and allow the essence of what I am painting to enter me, and to flow through the brush and pigments onto paper. The details are not as important to me as the living energy, the life-force of what I paint. I am often surprised, and it feels as if the brush has a magic all of its own. I am blessed to have time and resources to follow my bliss.

Edlynne M. SillmanCreative Photographer
As a Native New Yorker, I grew up in a vertical world. Tall buildings forming narrow canyons caused my drawings, etchings, and photographs to be close-up portraits and vertical andscapes. The vast open spaces experienced since living in the magnificent Sonoran desert, changed my vision to a horizontal perspective. Art and Photography have been a constant in my life; with line, texture, and contrast always fascinating me. Capturing the intriguing mysteries and inner souls of people and animals through candid portraiture continue to pique my curiosity. I am mesmerized by the awesome power and beauty of nature and the constantly evolving drama of life.
